电影讲述了一位刚入职的警官反抗印度种姓制度的故事，片名即指印度《宪法》第15条：任何人不得因种姓、宗教、出生地而受歧视。阿扬在成为警官的第一天就目睹了印度某个下等村庄的罪行，受害者是三个未成年的女孩。他必须做出选择，选择顺从传统的种姓制度，或是听从内心本能的呼唤，为正义而战。
